South Korea antitrust chief vows faster supplier payments, tighter platform oversight

Speaking at a roundtable with supplier industry groups in Seoul on Monday, Ju said the agency is preparing measures “to establish order in the retail sector and strengthen protection for small and medium suppliers.” They include shortening settlement deadlines under the Act on Fair Transactions in Large Retail Business so that suppliers are paid more quickly without placing excessive burdens on retailers.
