LinkedIn’s AI training plans trigger Dutch warning to switch off data setting

( September 24, 2025, 14:33 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: LinkedIn users should turn off the company's ‘Data for improvement of generative AI’ setting before Nov. 3 if they do not want the company to use their data to train its AI models, the Dutch data protection watchdog said on Wednesday. The Data Protection Authority said it was "deeply concerned" about LinkedIn"s plans to use profile information, such as name, photo, current position, work experience, education, location and skills for its AI models. Once this data is in LinkedIn"s AI systems users would lose control of it, it said.The press release follows....
