EU, Indonesia conclude free trade deal after nine years of talks

( September 23, 2025, 07:19 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU and Indonesia have concluded negotiations on a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, creating a free trade zone covering more than 700 million consumers. The deal will cut duties on most tariff lines, give EU companies new access to Indonesian services and investment markets, and secure supply chains for critical raw materials, the European Commission said on Tuesday. EU exporters are set to save around €600 million annually in duties. The agreement must still be ratified by both parties before it can enter into force.Full statement follows....
