Google basing remedies on 'revisionist history,' US DOJ, states say

( September 19, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The US Department of Justice and state plaintiffs told a federal judge that they are the only ones proposing “measures effective to restore competition” in the two adtech markets that Google has illegally monopolized for more than a decade, calling for a “strong and enduring” remedy against the company. They said that Google bases its remedy proposals on a “revisionist history” in which it established and kept its monopoly power lawfully, but the court has already rejected that narrative. “By starting from a false premise about the past, Google’s proposals leave no room for a future in which competition is restored.” See attached file....
