SRAM files complaint against restrictions set by cycling's governing body

( September 19, 2025, 15:57 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Bicycle component manufacturer SRAM announced today that it filed a complaint with the Belgian Competition Authority against the Union Cycliste Internationale, or UCI, the world governing body for competitive cycling events. The company contests the restrictions set up by UCI, which exclude some drivetrain bicycles from certain competitions. "SRAM is the only major manufacturer whose current pro team setup will be blocked by the new UCI regulations — regulations that hinder innovation, limit rider choice, and unfairly disadvantage SRAM riders and SRAM," the company said.Press release follows....
