South Korean broadcasters challenge Naver in court over AI training

Korea Broadcasting Service, Seoul Broadcasting Service and Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation claim Naver infringed on their copyright and violated the Unfair Competition Prevention and Trade Secret Protection Act by monetizing AI services trained on their content. The case is the first of its kind in South Korea but joins a wave of lawsuits worldwide against AI platforms over the use of unlicensed content.
