The standard mandates technical and organizational measures including SSL/TLS encryption, regular system updates, firewalls, monitoring and incident response systems. It requires multi-factor authentication for administrators, sensitive user accounts and remote access for any websites containing important data, public information service sites, sites related to critical infrastructure, and those conducting electronic transactions.
