EU telcos to see merger guidelines on cost savings, efficiencies, official says

The competition department will see how to speed up the guidelines’ release “while preserving the need for thorough engagement and discussions with academia, national commission authorities, and big and small businesses,” Guillaume Loriot, deputy director general for mergers, said Tuesday.
