Chinese company says US Commerce calculations incorrect in vanillin order
( September 11, 2025, 16:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex summary: Chinese company Jiangxi Brother Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd said in a complaint filed at the US Court of International Trade that the Department of Commerce erred in its July affirmative antidumping and antisubsidy order on vanillin from China because the agency incorrectly calculated the surrogate value for the byproduct Hydroquinone and used the wrong financial statements in the calculation. The company also said Commerce should not have used the Cohen’s d test in the analysis after recent court orders rejected its use in certain methodologies.See attached complaint....
