Five UK porn platforms under investigation over new age assurance rules

( September 11, 2025, 10:24 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Five UK pornography platforms operating 22 websites are under investigation for potential noncompliance with new age assurance duties under the Online Safety Act, regulator Ofcom said on Thursday. The companies, Cyberitic, Web Prime, Youngtek Solutions, ZD Media and the provider of xgroovy, were selected based on risk of harm, “including where there have been significant increases in their user numbers since the 25 July deadline,” the watchdog said. These new cases add to the 47 other sites and apps Ofcom is investigating under the online safety law. Statement follows....
