EU lawmakers want to extend Russia bans to stored gas, fertilizer imports
By Eleonora Rinaldi ( September 11, 2025, 10:26 GMT | Insight) -- Storage of natural gas from Russia, as well as fertilizers produced with Russian gas, should be added to the bans proposed by the European Commission to phase out Russian fossil-fuel imports, lawmaker Andrea Wechsler said in an interview while discussing the European Parliament’s energy and trade committees' amendments and ongoing negotiations.
