UK defense companies launch IP alliance

The group, which includes government and academia as well as private players, will seek to derive broader economic benefit from military technology.Defense sector entities including BAE Systems, Thales, Cranfield University and the Defense Science and Technology Laboratory announced Wednesday the launch of the Technology and Growth Alliance, a group with the common aim of finding commercial applications for invention devised in the course of military contracts.
