Platforms receive draft guidance for UK super-complaints regime

( September 8, 2025, 11:25 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The super-complaints regime under the UK Online Safety Act is moving closer to implementation, as Ofcom opened a consultation on Monday on draft guidance outlining the evidence standards, eligibility rules and procedural steps for submissions. The regime will allow expert groups to flag systemic harms to the UK media regulator. Ofcom will need to respond to the complaints within 120 days. The rules, which build on a recently introduced legal framework, are expected to be finalized in early 2026. The consultation closes on Nov. 3.Statement follows. Consultation documents attached....
