European e-mobility businesses urge EU to keep 2035 zero-emission vehicle target

( September 8, 2025, 10:09 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The European Commission should maintain its 2035 zero-emission vehicle target in its upcoming review, a coalition of more than 150 European business leaders from across the electric vehicle supply chain said on Monday in a letter to commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Weakening or delaying the target would undermine investor confidence and stall progress just as China accelerates its electric mobility push, the executives said.
