EU's Digital Markets Act is frustrating consumers, tech industry body says

( September 4, 2025, 04:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The implementation of the EU's Digital Markets Act "has led to widespread frustration and a clear decline in the online experience for many European consumers," the Europe office of US industry body the Computer & Communications Industry Association said today, commenting on the results of a study that it commissioned from Nextrade Group. The survey reported that two-thirds of respondents found tasks such as conducting an online search or booking an hotel more complex and time-consuming than before the law was in effect.
