China fines Anhui civil-explosives association, companies for price-fixing

( September 1, 2025, 04:23 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The market regulator for China's Anhui Province has fined the Civil Explosive Materials Industry Association of Anhui Province and six local companies in the industry for entering into monopoly agreements, according to administrative penalty decisions issued by the State Administration for Market Regulation. The Anhui regulator launched the probe in June 2022 and found the association had organized these companies to attend two inter-provincial meetings in May and November 2020, where the involved companies agreed to fix prices and restrict cross-province sales. The association was ordered to cease the illegal conduct and fined 300,000 yuan ($42,000), while the six companies were fined amounts ranging from 100,000 yuan to 300,000 yuan each.The statement follows and the penalty decisions, in Chinese, are attached:...
