China opposes US decision to remove chipmakers Intel, Samsung, SK Hynix from VEU list

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce said in a statement that the US must immediately correct these so-called "wrongdoings." Citing the fact that semiconductors are a highly globalized industry built over decades into an interconnected ecosystem, the ministry said the US action, driven by self-interest, weaponizes export controls and threatens the stability of global chip-supply chains.
