Delayed UK report warns of systemic data protection flaws in public sector

The report identified recurring failures in e-mail handling, hidden spreadsheet data and uncontrolled database exports. The Cabinet Office review — concluded in 2023 under the previous government but only published today — called for stronger crisis and accountability protocols.
