US judge hands drugmakers mixed rulings on antidepressant price-fixing claims

( August 27, 2025, 12:00 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: A US judge handed drugmakers Mylan, Taro and Sandoz a mixed bag of rulings with regard to summary judgment motions against direct-purchaser and end-payer plaintiffs' price-fixing claims, which allege the defendants fixed the prices of generic versions of the antidepressant clomipramine. US District Judge Cynthia Rufe denied Mylan's motion for judgment against the DPPs, and she partially granted its motion for judgement against the EPPs as to their claims "arising from sales of clomipramine from Mylan to CVS pharmacy." The defendants' joint motion for summary judgment was also granted in part "as to consumer protection claims arising from state law in Missouri and Minnesota," but otherwise denied, the order filed to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania said. Finally, Tar and Sandoz's joint summary judgment motion is dismissed pending the outcome of their settlement agreements with the EPPs, the order said.See attached document....
