VPN 'loophole' prompts privacy battle in UK's Online Safety Act implementation

Use of VPNs have soared since age verification rules came into force last month, and a new report by the Children's Commissioner has called for VPNs themselves to be for adult use only. While privacy advocates argue that age verification for VPNs would be risky, child safety campaigners claim that their use by minors requires a response.UK online safety rules are already changing the Internet for the pornography industry, with large platforms forced to implement age checks intended to stop children accessing explicit content (see here)....
