In a statement, the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority said that although the turnover of the two nursing supplies wholesalers was below the threshold for compulsory notification of the deal, there was a risk the merger could create a very large player that could exploit its market power to, for example, raise prices. The competition watchdog said the companies must notify their intention to merge, and the deal would then be examined to ensure it does not give rise to competition concerns that would require intervention.Press release follows, and official decision is attached....
