US Senator Cantwell warns SCORE Act will widen inequities in college sports

She asked for their input on how to address these inequities and maximize the value of college sports across the board. “[T]he SCORE Act rolls back athletes’ legal protections, all while worsening the existing chasm between the most powerful conferences and all other schools, raising costs for universities and students, cementing the unfair competitive environment of today, and creating an arms race among schools trying to keep up,” Cantwell wrote.Statement follows in full.
