West Virginia college athletes win injunction against NCAA

( August 20, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Four West Virginia college athletes were granted an injunction against the National Collegiate Athletic Association’s five-year-rule, which relates to the number of years college football players can play Division I NCAA football after transferring to a Division I school. “If this Court does not enjoin NCAA Bylaw 12.11.4.2, NCAA could require that WVU be stripped of the Big 12 and National Championship Titles, all over WVU following a court order instructing WVU that RaeQuan Battle is good to play on gamedays. Thus, this Court will enjoin NCAA from enforcing the Rule of Restitution against student-athletes and their respective institutions,” District Judge John P. Bailey said. See attached file. ...
