'Video-roulette' platform OmeTV targeted by Australia's online-safety regulator

( August 25, 2025, 05:21 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: OmeTV, the video-roulette chat app that matches strangers, including adults and children, has become the first tech service targeted by enforcement action under Australia’s Industry Codes and Standards. In a statement, Australia’s eSafety Commissioner said the app’s parent company, Bad Kitty’s Dad, had received a formal warning from the online-safety regulator for alleged breaches of the Relevant Electronic Services industry standard.
