Australian internet provider iiNet's breach exposes details of 280,000 customers

( August 19, 2025, 06:40 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Australian internet services provider iiNet, which is owned by telecommunications company TPG Telecom, has confirmed that a cyber incident compromised the personal information including email addresses and phone numbers of 280,000 customers. In a statement, iiNet said that on Aug. 16, it became aware of a cyber incident involving unauthorized access to its order management system by an unknown third party.
