China launches expiry review of anti-dumping duties on Indian optical fiber imports

( August 13, 2025, 08:56 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China's Commerce Ministry launched an expiry review of anti-dumping duties on single-mode optical fiber imports from India starting Aug. 14, with the probe expected to conclude by Aug. 14, 2026. During the review, imports will continue to face existing duties of 7.4 percent to 30.6 percent as approved by the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council. The ministry said the review followed a petition filed in June by several Chinese fiber producers claiming that lifting the duties could allow dumping to resume and cause renewed damage to the domestic industry. China first imposed the five-year anti-dumping tariffs in 2014 and extended them for another five years in 2020.The statement follows:...
