South Korean workers embrace AI, prepare for wider spread, survey finds

By Choonsik Yoo ( August 18, 2025, 07:26 GMT | Insight) -- A recent Bank of Korea survey found that more than half of South Korean workers use generative AI tools for work, a rate about twice that of the US, with ChatGPT leading adoption followed by Gemini and ClovaNote. The survey also showed that 15 percent of South Koreans are already co-working with robots, and many workers are preparing for AI-driven changes by planning to take courses or switch jobs. A slim majority of South Korean workers use generative artificial intelligence tools for work, about twice the comparable rate reported in the US and roughly eight times the pace of Internet-technology adoption in the past, according to findings from a recent central bank survey....
