China extends partial tariff suspension on US imports for another 90 days

( August 12, 2025, 01:33 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: China will maintain a 10 percent tariff on US imports for another 90 days starting midday today, the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council announced. The commission will continue suspending 24 percent additional ad valorem duties on US goods, following the expiry of a previous 90-day partial tariff suspension jointly announced by both countries on May 14. The US has also extended its partial tariff suspension on Chinese imports until Nov. 10, maintaining a 10 percent reciprocal tariff and an additional 20 percent punitive tariff citing fentanyl-related issues.
