Wage controls in Lithuanian basketball prompt EU antitrust questions

The request comes as both labor law and sports businesses come under increased antitrust scrutiny, with the Court of Justice of the EU examining in a separate case when such a deal could be justified.A concerted decision by Lithuanian basketball clubs to not pay players during the Covid crisis will be reviewed by the Court of Justice of the EU, following a request by the Supreme Administrative Court of Lithuania to assess whether the conduct is an infringement of EU antitrust law....
