Keep merger notification files small in emails, Australian watchdog advises

( August 8, 2025, 02:52 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Merger-notification emails with file attachments must be less than 25 megabytes, the Australian competition regulator has said. In an update, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission has said that until the acquisitions portal is launched, parties submitting notifications or requesting pre-notification engagement via email must comply with file-size limits of 25 megabytes. It has also advised the parties to contact the regulator if their submission exceeds 25 megabytes, so that alternative IT arrangements can be made to receive the message and accompanying files.
