Clearview AI seeks to dismiss Vermont AG's scraping suit

( June 30, 2025, 15:35 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Clearview AI filed a motion to stay proceedings and dismiss the state of Vermont's consumer protection lawsuit alleging the company did not seek proper permissions to gain Vermonters' images. Clearview AI says Vermont lacks jurisdiction to bring the suit because "as one federal district court recently held, Clearview cannot be subjected to personal jurisdiction in a forum where it has no contacts and which it does not target simply because of its alleged, out-of-state scraping of photos from the public internet."See attached documents....
