According to the guidelines, such data includes information related to national secrets or security—whether economic, technological, cybersecurity, or AI-related—as well as data critical to industrial competitiveness, such as core products, supply chains, economic operations and export-controlled technologies like core designs and source code. Sensitive personal data involving more than 100,000 individuals is also covered. The guidelines provide sector-specific criteria for identifying important data across industries such as equipment manufacturing, consumer goods, electronics, software and IT services.
