It was the latest of several recent efforts within the boundaries of — and sometimes testing — his executive powers. But lasting statutory permitting reform is still up to Congress, where bipartisan consensus is a challenge. Unveiling his AI Action Plan in late July, US President Donald Trump described his vision for data centers and supporting infrastructure with signature bravado. He pledged to use “every tool at our disposal” to build and maintain the “largest, most powerful and most advanced AI infrastructure anywhere on the planet.”...
