Ethylene buyer Westlake faces EUR1.6 billion cartel claim from LyondellBasell

OMV and Borealis have also filed claims in the Amsterdam court, which is already handling related suits involving Shell Chemicals Europe and TotalEnergies. Entities of BASF and Dow are pursuing similar claims in a Munich court.Ethylene purchaser Westlake has told investors it has been hit with a cartel damages claim for 1.6 billion euros (around $1.8 billion), filed in Amsterdam in July by chemical company LyondellBasell Industries....
