Review of Elders' acquisition of Delta Agribusiness faces another delay in Australia

In an entry on its website, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said it had stopped the clock as it awaits further information from the merger parties. As a result of the pause, the Aug. 21 deadline for a decision has been scrapped, with a new date yet to be announced. The decision marks the second time the regulator has pressed pause on its review. At the end of May, the ACCC published a statement of issues, ushering in an in-depth probe.
