Regulatory response to use of data must be proportionate, Australian economic adviser says

In a new report, the independent, government-funded Productivity Commission said Australia needed a flexible approach to facilitate data access across the economy, in which obligations placed on data holders and the level of government involvement could match the needs and digital maturity of different sectors.
