Roblox, Discord hit with suit over alleged abduction of user groomed on platforms

( August 5, 2025, 23:29 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: Roblox and Discord were sued in a California state court on behalf of a 10-year-old girl who was allegedly contacted, groomed and abducted by a 27-year-old man who met her on the platform, in a suit that claims the plaintiffs were negligent. "Roblox facilitates child sexual exploitation through the design of its app, inadequate safety features, and refusal to invest in basic safety protections," the suit in San Mateo County Superior Court alleges.
