EU should speed up funding for new carbon-market rollout, think tank EPICO says

To overcome resistance among EU member states, the bloc should consider front-loading future revenues expected from the new emissions trading system starting in 2027, EPICO said.European businesses and households should benefit from additional support mechanisms to shield them from higher prices following the EU's new emissions trading system, known as ETS 2, said the Energy and Climate Policy Innovation Council, or EPICO, in a joint study with consultancy Frontier Economics (see here)....
