Magna PT fined EUR50,000 in Italy for GDPR breach

( August 4, 2025, 10:14 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Italian Data Protection Authority has imposed a fine of 50,000 euros on Magna PT, an automotive parts supplier, for breaching the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation. The company had incorrectly managed an employee’s information, including health data. A trade union report revealed the data breach by noting Magna PT's policy of requiring a questionnaire post-sick leave to assess necessary workplace adjustments for employee health. There was a lack of transparency and no legal basis for processing such data, the DPA said.The decision is attached (in Italian)....
