Germany misses AI authority deadline, hurting its AI innovation, says Hamburg DPA

It calls on the government to swiftly designate the AI supervisory authorities, adding that Germany still lacks a law to implement the AI Act. “This is also a disadvantage for Germany as a location for AI innovation,” Hamburg’s data commissioner Thomas Fuchs said.
