CAR's planned Machines4U deal sparks online-advertising review in Australia

In a market-inquiries letter published today, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that in addition to supplying online-listing services to buyers and sellers of new and used industrial machinery, both CAR and Machines4U supply online-display advertising. CAR operates in the US, South Korea, Chile and Brazil, as well as Australia; Machines4U is an Australian online-listings portal specializing in new and used industrial machinery.
