YouTube extends TV reach in UK as public service broadcasting extends decline

With children and young adults now turning to streaming services first when they switch on the TV — and older adults following — traditional channels risk losing relevance, the media watchdog has said. Less than half of 16–24-year-olds watch live TV weekly, and Ofcom warned that unless broadcasters reach viewers online more effectively, the future of UK-made content might be at risk.
