PIPC to fund five health, policy services under MyData scheme

( July 30, 2025, 06:27 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: South Korea’s privacy regulator has announced five MyData projects that will receive government funding as part of efforts to explore and promote real-world applications of the MyData data-portability scheme. The Personal Information Protection Commission selected three new projects — a medical information-management service for the elderly and minors, an AI-based health assistant, and a mental health and medication management service, each eligible for up to 500 million won ($361,668) in funding. Two existing projects — a personalized health-management service and a policy-recommendation service for citizens and small business owners — will each receive 200 million won to improve their services.
