DC AG opposes AvalonBay's motion for judgment in rental price-fixing case

( July 28, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: AvalonBay is trying to relitigate issues already decided by the court through its motion for judgment against the District of Columbia attorney general’s claims that the company colluded to illegally raise rents for tens of thousands of DC residents by collectively delegating price-setting authority to RealPage's revenue management software, according to the AG. “AvalonBay asks the court to consider a filing made by a different party, in a different case, in a different court. That filing is not within the set of documents this court can consider on a Rule 12(c) motion, and it was not filed in this case, let alone by the District,” the opposition said.See attached file....
