EU energy regulator to decide on intraday electricity market rules by January 2026

( July 29, 2025, 14:22 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The EU energy regulator ACER is set to adopt new rules governing the opening and closing times of the EU intraday electricity market by Jan. 2, 2026. Earlier this month, EU transmission system operators submitted a proposal to ACER recommending a reduction in the intraday market’s closing time from 60 minutes to 30 minutes before real-time delivery. The proposed change aims to better align market operations with real-time conditions, enhance renewables' integration, increase system flexibility, and support security of supply, ACER said in a statement today. Stakeholders can submit their feedback until Sept. 26, 2025.Full statement follows:...
