X Corp. says advertisers can't dodge US group boycott claims

( July 28, 2025, 22:31 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: X Corp. opposed a motion to dismiss its US antitrust claims against the World Federation of Advertisers, Nestle, Pinterest, Tyson Foods, Abbott Laboratories and other companies, arguing that its complaint sufficiently states a plausible group boycott. “As the [complaint] plausibly alleges, the [Global Alliance for Responsible Media] rules contemplated concerted action by GARM members through GARM and required their advance assent to that concerted action. GARM described these Rules as a ‘commitment’ to engage in ‘uncommon collaboration’ through the exercise of the ‘collective power’ of GARM members while ‘putting aside competitive concerns’ to achieve common goals. It is hard to be more direct,” it said.See attached files....
