Australia's Webjet to pay A$9 million in penalties for misleading online ticket offers

In a statement today, the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission said that, following consumer-law enforcement brought against the Australian-based travel agent, Webjet admitted that between 2018 and 2023 it had made false or misleading statements when it advertised airfares that excluded compulsory fees.
