AstraZeneca aims to confront UK plausibility standard at Supreme Court

The pharmaceutical giant intends to argue that the UK’s approach to assessing plausibility has become too stringent and needs to realign itself with the European stance.Following an adverse decision by the UK Court of Appeal which saw AstraZeneca’s patent for diabetes drug Forxiga declared invalid (see here), the company has now submitted directly to the Supreme Court to have its appeal heard....
