Alphabet Education's acquisition of Delta Schools prohibited in Greece

( July 25, 2025, 11:38 GMT | Official Statement) -- MLex Summary: The Greek competition authority prohibited the planned merger between Alphabet Education and Delta Schools, the two largest providers of vocational training services in the regions of Attica, Thessaloniki and Volos. The entity would have created an "indisputable leader," which would have been able to increase prices and lower the quality of its services, while potential new competitors would have faced higher barriers to entry, the authority said in a statement today.
