Europe’s battery manufacturing capacity is accelerating, NGO says

Supporting regulation, such as the CO2 emission reduction standards for cars and vans, was key for the industry’s growth, New Automotive said. Around 30 battery manufacturing facilities are now operational across Europe, with new “gigafactories” announced in France, Portugal and the UK.
